SDS authoring and revision

We prepare new safety data sheets for your substances and mixtures and bring existing ones up to the current format under Regulation (EU) 2020/878 – in the languages of the countries where you sell.

Prepared in the 16-section format of Annex II to REACH. Price on request, based on your products and languages.

What we do

One service for the whole life of a safety data sheet: from the first version to updates and translations.

01

New SDS

For a product that has no safety data sheet yet. We classify the mixture under CLP from its composition and write all 16 sections.
02

Revision and update

For an SDS in an older format, after a change in composition or classification, or when new hazard information is available.
03

Translation

For selling in another EU country. The SDS must be in an official language of that country. SDS translation →

What you receive

A finished document you can hand to your customers – not a template to fill in.

  • Safety data sheet with the 16 mandatory headings in the order set by Annex II
  • CLP classification of the mixture with hazard pictograms, signal word, H and P statements in section 2
  • Version number, revision date and marked changes for every update
  • PDF in each language you order
  • A short list of open points, if data you supplied are missing or contradictory

How it works

Step 1

Send the documents

Composition, safety data sheets of raw materials and any test data you have.
Step 2

Quote

We check what is available and send a price and delivery date before any work starts.
Step 3

Classification and drafting

We classify the product under CLP and draft all 16 sections. Questions go to one contact person.
Step 4

Review and delivery

You check the draft, we incorporate comments and deliver the final PDF versions.
Checklist

What we need from you

  • Full composition: every component with CAS or EC number and concentration (exact value or range)
  • Safety data sheets of all raw materials, in their current version
  • Physical and chemical data you have: form, colour, pH, flash point, density and similar
  • Intended uses and who uses the product (industrial, professional, consumers)
  • Packaging sizes and whether the product is transported as dangerous goods
  • Countries and languages where the product will be sold
  • Your existing SDS, if you want it revised
Missing something? Send what you have – we will tell you what else is needed before we quote.

Who is responsible for the SDS

Under REACH, the safety data sheet must be prepared by a competent person. The supplier who places the product on the market remains responsible for providing it and for its content – also when the SDS is prepared by an external service.

We prepare the SDS from the data you provide. Its accuracy depends on the accuracy of those data, so we list any assumptions in the delivery note.

Questions before ordering

How much does an SDS cost?

The price depends on the number of components, how much data is available and how many languages you need. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.

How long does it take?

It depends on the product and on how complete the documents are. The delivery date is part of the quote.

Can you update an SDS from another supplier?

Yes. We review the existing SDS against Annex II as amended by Regulation (EU) 2020/878 and the current classification, then prepare a revised version.

Do I need an SDS at all?

That depends on the classification of the product and on who you sell it to. The rules are explained in our guide to safety data sheets.
